Stuck in the Essex countryside
I feel very fortunate to be forced to stay at home in such a beautiful part of this world.
We only moved in to our new home in December last year and with us both having full time jobs in London, we have had limited time to find all of the local walking hot-spots; and to simply enjoy the pleasure of being in the garden.
To share some of this joy I thought some happy photos from our local walks could help.
We live in the heart of the arable farming lands of Essex, providing us with plenty of choice for many stunning, flat walks. Having more time at home has allowed me to dig out the OS map and research some lovely loops that takes us through field after field of potatoes, wheat and rape seed amongst other crops.
The main downside to being able to spend time at home with more free time than usual, is the fact that our amazing, very British local pub is closed…so most walks instead have to end with a cup of tea at home.
